PAR
Pre-Authorized Remittance, or PAR, is a “direct debit” program administered by The United Church of Canada.
It allows you to support Knox United through an automatic monthly withdrawal from your bank account.
Many people use the PAR system for their church offering, finding it a convenient way to take care of their regular commitments to the church, month by month. It’s flexible. People can designate their gift to local church expenses, the Mission and Service Fund, and other special funds, just as they would on an offering envelope.

WHAT IS THE FUNDSCRIP FUNDRAISING PROGRAM?
Fundscrip is an innovative program that lets you earn cash rebates for your organization based on things you buy everyday like groceries, gas and other household items.
Every month you spend hundreds of dollars for things like food, gas, clothing, pharmacy, restaurants, electronics, home renovations, department stores, and so on.
All you have to do is pay for some or all of your purchases using GIFT CARDS bought at face value from FundScrip participating retailers and a percentage of every gift card purchased is contributed to your group’s fundraising efforts. Most fundraisers ask you to take out your checkbook to buy things you don’t want or need….
Fundscrip costs you nothing!
You make your usual visit to the grocery store. You fill your cart and go to the check out. Instead of paying with cash or a debit card, you use a gift card that you purchased through our group. It costs you nothing extra but you just earned money for your group.
Ask family & friend to support our group?
We encourage everyone to invite their family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors to participate in FundScrip as well. After all, they probably buy groceries and gas, just like you do. You could give them an order form and they can order at the same time.
The gift cards come preloaded and are available in various denominations. As you use the cards, the value of the purchase is automatically deducted from the value stored on the card. If you don’t use the entire amount, the balance remains on the card and can be used for future purchases.
Payment methods available to you:
1) Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) – FREE
Requires completed application form and void cheque sent to FundScrip to be activated.
2) Interac Online – Knox earnings reduced by $0.85 per transaction for those with accounts at the following financial institutions: RBC Royal Bank; BMO Bank of Montreal, ScotiaBank and TD Toronto Dominion
3) Credit Card (Knox earnings are reduced by 1.99%)
4) Online Banking Bill Payment – FREE
Pay for your orders as you would pay any other bill. There are no fees or deductions to earnings for using this payment. Please note that it can take at least three (3) business days for FundScrip to receive payment.
Have your gift card order mailed to you directly!
• You can order your gift cards online any time and have them shipped to your home address for $0.98 (includes taxes).
• You pay this $0.98 when you checkout your order.
• There is a four (4) gift card limit in each order and a $500 maximum value of the cards.
• Orders are processed four (4) days a week (Monday through Thursday) at 9:15 am ET once payment has been confirmed.

Please include your envelope number to assure your donation gets applied to your tax receipt. If you don’t have an envelope number and wish to receive a tax receipt be sure to include your full name and mailing address in the email.
